Easy Kids Less than 1hr Paint Painting

Small painting project for little artists

Little artists will love creating their own mini masterpieces with this small painting project using a miniature easel.

Not only do these canvas and easels make for a fun activity, they also make for great gifts and tiny keepsakes that’ll brighten up your office desk, bedroom tables or mantlepieces around the home. Plus, this small painting project helps the little ones develop hand-eye coordination, mobility and decision-making skills. So, let’s get creating!

Pick out the colours you’ll use and pour each colour onto a palette. Poster paints are great for this project. Their tempera-style paints are available in a range of fun and bright colours and finishes from metallic to fluorescent. Plus, they’re quick drying and super easy to squeeze out of the bottle, how good!

Unleash the creativity and begin creating your mini masterpiece. Our mini easels work well for this project, plus they come with their own mini easel so creating (and displaying) is easy for little hands. Or give our kid’s hobby brushes a go, these brushes are a great go-to for small hands and quick creating.

After you’ve let your imagination run wild, add the final touches and leave the canvas to dry. Choosing colours is a great way for little creators to develop their decision-making skills as they get to choose which colour they’d like to paint with. While the mini canvas and painting activity helps coordination and mobility as they dip into paints and get playing.

Once dry, pop your artwork on the miniature easel to proudly display your new artwork. This is a great project for parties or groups and hey who knows, maybe you could hold a mini exhibition showing off your new masterpieces afterwards!

Don’t forget the cleaning up. Wash any painting tools and hands in soapy water and because poster paints are water-based, they’re also easy to clean up too, just grab some warm, soapy water.
